We sat with Hannah at the table by the window — the one with the chip in the corner that nobody is allowed to fix. The conversation lasted four hours. What follows has been edited for length, but not, we hope, for spirit.
On the year behind: "It was the first year I felt like the studio belonged to itself. We were not building it anymore. We were inside of it."
On the year ahead: "More small rooms. Fewer big rooms. A few quiet collaborations we are not ready to talk about yet. And a renewed effort to mail packages on time, which I have been promising for ten years and which we are getting closer to, slowly."
